Serendipity 3 on Lincoln Road

It was a bad weekend for calories as we tried the newly opened and famous Serendipity 3 from NY now on Lincoln Road across from Shake Shack.
It was great!
We had a 9 inch x 4 in piece of chocolate cake for $9.00! It doesn’t get much better than that!
The frozen hot chocolate and the ice creams were all amazing and all the other food looked great including the salads, pizza and burgers.
Will definitely go back for a meal!
10/10 for desserts. Will advise on food later.

BEST BREAKFAST IN MIAMI!

Finally I found the absolute best breakfast in Miami at the most unlikely place!
Joe’s Stone Crab Take Out. Everyday from 7:30 am to 10:30 am. And don’t be late by even 1 minute or they won’t serve you. You order and they deliver it to your table.
It was the best ever and cheap. $42 for 4 of us.
Amazing omelets. Joe’s Morning wrap in a Multi-grain Tortilla, Joe’s Breakfast Sandwich of scrambled eggs, bacon, sliced tomato and cheddar cheese on toasted challah, Joe’s Egg Supreme or a Miami Beach Omelet with stone crab meat.
I will go back again and again.
10/10 for breakfasts!

J&G Grill, St. Regis Hotel, Bal Harbour

Went to J&G Grill at the St. Regis Bal Harbour Hotel Sat night. A jean Georges restaurant that just opened.
I was expecting a really expensive menu and was amazed at how reasonable the prices were.

The scene was definately not a 'South Beach' scene or vibe. A hotel crowd but much older and richer. If you are looking for a young scene, this is not it!
The hotel staff was out in force welcoming you every 10 feet. The lobby was disappointing, then amazing and then disappointing. Too many hallways.
The restaurant was beautiful overlooking the pool and ocean and as expected the staff was a delight.
The veal was great and the chicken was just OK. Many liked the Black Truffle pizza. The lobster was very good but at $42 very small and not a full meal. The desserts were great!
They showed their class as a restaurant when they credited us for one lobster and 1 dessert because it was delivered to the table grilled when it was supposed to be steamed.
Bill was $186/couple incl tip but would have been $215 without the credit.
Valet parking was free for now.
7.5/10
I will go back for lunch and try it again once the outdoors section opens.

Terrazza at The Shore Club in South Beach

Went to Terrazza on Friday night at The Shore Club where AGO restaurant used to be.
Another hotel restaurant overlooking the pool with comfortable couches like The Royal at The Raleigh Hotel.
Food was good but not great! Salad was a little soggy but good and chicken was moist and tender. Side order of asparagus was inedible.
I probably won’t go back. Nothing was really bad but nothing was special.
7/10
$140 for 2 incl tip.
