As a result of the 10 Best Places for wings article by channel 10, we went to Duffy's Sports Bar in the 163rd St. shopping center. The location is on the water where Shooter's used to be and has water access. It just opened 1 month ago and is part of a large chain.
The largest sport's bar I have ever seen with over 700 seats and 200 large flat-screen TVs.
Both inside and on-the-water tables.
The chicken wings were AWESOME! Will never go back to Flannigan's or Yardhouse. I ordered 10 wings and could only eat 5 they were so big.
The fried mozzarella was also great and Mona's salad was just average.
I'm told their angus burgers are also great!
Total bill was $28 plus tip.
9/10 for a sport's bar.
Wednesday nights kids eat for free for every adult meal.
I will definately go back.

Zuma Re-reviewed-- Simply the best!
Went back to Zuma last night. It is without a doubt the best restaurant I have ever been to.
The service, the scene and the food is simply the best.
The people are always friendly, knowledgable, polite and never have an attitude.
We sat outside on comfortable large pillow couches on a beautifiul night. The entire restaurant was packed!
Each dish we had was better than the one before it.
The kinoko no kama meshi, a rice hotpot with wild mushrooms and veggies was unreal!
The spicy beef tenderloin with sesame, red chili and sweet soy wasn't spicy at all and was the best meat I ever had!
I don't normally eat shrimp, but I couldn't stop eating their rock shrimp with lime and chili mayo.
And the barely miso corn fed baby chicken oven roasted on ceder wood was better than what he had at Michael's Genuine a few nights earlier.
And if all that wasn't enough-the green tea and banana cake in toffee sauce and ice cream was unreal.
All this for $185 incl tip with 2 drinks.
10/10 SIMPLY THE BEST!

Michael's Genuine for Lunch
Wednesday night I went to Michael's to try their burger which was said to be the 'best in Florida' on a local TV station. I had to see if it was better than Shake Shack.
When I arrived at Michael's I quickly found out that the burger was only on the lunch menu and was not available for dinner. So today I went back for lunch to try the burger.
The amazingly thick burger, with cheese and bacon, was certainly impressive looking when it arrived. However, looks can be deceiving. In the end it was very good but not even close to Shake Shack, In'n'Out or Five Guys.
It wasn't worth the trip or the $46.00 bill for lunch. Shake Shack was half the price for double the pleasure.
Michael's burger gets a 6/10.

The "New" Forge Restaurant
Last April The Forge re-opened after months of renovations. It was a beautiful restaurant before but a bit dated so they spent a fortune modernizing the look and succeeded. We ate in the Study which is the nicest room.
The general manager Sole is the brother of Seth the general manager at STK.
The service was amazing.
The bread basket was the best ever. Could not stop eating bread which I usually avoid. Much better than Joe's or Prime Italian.
The Forge chopped salad was different and excellent and everyone who had tuna tartare loved it. Also their famous lobster peanut butter and jelly appetizer was great!
The steak was good but nothing special and the sides were average. The roast beef they cook on thr grill is no longer on the menu.
The apple crumb sundae was simply amazing but the chocolate dessert was average to bad.
Bill was $210 per couple incl tip with multiple drinks.
The best part of the 'old' Forge was its $5 valet parking which is now up to $10.
If you want to book for New Year's it will run you about $500 per person incl tax and tip. Don't count on me! I'll take Shake Shack !

Another New Restaurant Review
After doing The Forge Friday night and Zuma Sat night I had to find something to top them so on Sunday I took Mona for lunch at a place she had never experienced--DENNY'S.
It was 1:30 pm so I was too late for the GRANDSLAM breakfast but their lunch was actually OK although they had no valet parking or a guy in the bathroom to turn on the faucet.
I report to you simply because of the classic line we were given by the waitress wearing the cute Santa hat:
Mona asked if they had any Pellegrino and the waitress without even hesitating said:
"Sorry we don't serve wine"
Bill was $23 for a prime rib sandwich and a grilled chicken salad.
No rating.
